Sofie van Vlijmen

Sofie van Vlijmen is a versatile family law attorney who—in addition to divorces—deals with matters relating to filiation, adoption and (national and international) surrogacy. Sofie always strives to reach a mutual agreement. If this, for whatever reason, does not prove possible, she will assist you in the proceedings before court. She has extensive experience in litigating family law cases. 

Sofie van Vlijmen studied Dutch law in Utrecht. Since 2005 she has been working as an attorney in the field of family law with different firms.

Sofie is a member of the Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS). She completed the vFAS Legal Specialisation Course in Family Law in 2011 (cum laude) and the vFAS Specialisation Course in Divorce Mediation in 2015. In November 2016 Sofie passed the examination of the specialised vFAS course of Inheritance Law.
